I have overdue income tax with the IRD dating back to 2007.
After emailing Steve late on a Saturday evening I was impressed to get a phonecall the very next day.
Steve called me and asked me a few questions about my outstanding tax and it was good to get reassurance that this could be resolved.
Steve could have taken up my case and charged me for his services but after we had a conversation it was clear that this wasn't economically sensible.
So instead he gave me some advice on how to approach IRD and I feel ready and able to do so.
I think it's great that if he thinks you can sort it out easily by yourself then he won't take a fee just for the sake of taking a fee.
I also know that if things get tricky I can always call Steve back and he will be more than happy to help

We were introduced to Steve by our accountants who had been unsuccessful in getting any clear responses from IRD. Steve was positive, well prepared and immediately got a process underway that all parties agreed to. This resulted in a sound and manageable settlement with IRD. After finding out that IRD were demanding that I pay more than I could ever afford I felt like I was under attack.
A friend referred me to Steve Dent of Tax Debt Brokers, but before I could contact him he had rang me to say that he was here to look at my case and explained what he did and how he could help. Within a few short minutes of talking to him he had lifted some of the weight from my shoulders and the anxiety that had built up from not knowing what to do was gone. Just the very thought that someone who knew where to start and what to look at first was out there was a great relief.
